Hobbs Valve, Valve World 2012
After successfully exhibiting at the Valve World Expo previously we tasked ourselves with both evolving the stand design and to devise a plan to push our message into new emerging markets. Following months of preparation the Hobbs Valve “Knowledge Centre” exhibition stand was successfully launched at the start of this year’s industry show in November.
Hobbs have great sales success with these shows, from visiting customers and through providing educational presentations on our products. Over the coming year Hobbs want to explore new ways to take this ‘hands on’ educational approach to new markets such as South and North America.
Our solution was to design and build an area of the website where we could run live online seminars giving people the opportunity to interact with the Hobbs sales teams – all across the world, from the comfort of their own desk.
And the result was launched at this year’s expo. Dubbed ‘The Knowledge Centre’ this new section of Hobbs’ website allows users to sign up for upcoming seminars where they’ll be given a presentation – and most importantly, be able to ask questions to the sales team. They’ll also be able to watch on demand videos and have access to all of Hobbs’ latest industry news, company case studies and career opportunities.
Regional Sales Manager Gavin Wheeler said “We decided to launch the new educationally driven part of the website at Valve World Expo 2012, evolving the exhibition stand design from last time to incorporate more educational tools for the sales team and to promote both new products and the website. The widely successful interactive floor, explaining triple offset technology, was ever present – and some new touch screens running animations and video all helped the sales team clearly communicate the features and benefits of the Hobbs products”.
A big thanks goes out to all those who visited us and participated in the Knowledge Centre experience. See you all again in two years!
