West Nile Delta
Hobbs Valve triple offset butterfly valves are to be installed within the facilities involved in the development of five gas fields in the West Nile Delta (WND), around 65km to 85km off the coast of Alexandria, Egypt.
BP’s Taurus, Libra, Giza, Fayoum and Raven fields are being developed to take advantage of an estimated five trillion cubic feet (tcf) of gas and 55 million barrels (mmbbl) of condensate reserves which are available. Even more reserves are expected to be discovered as further fields are explored and developed. Peak gas production expected to reach 1.2 billion cubic feet a day.
Hobbs is renowned in the oil and gas industries as the leading innovator of the triple offset butterfly valve, a leak-free solution that is lighter, easier to maintain and requires less space than alternate valve options.
