Lord Livingston visits Hobbs Valve

The Minister of State for Trade and Investment, Lord Ian Livingston paid a visit to Hobbs Valve Limited to kick off Export Week and to begin his tour of businesses within the South Wales area.
This morning a statement was released by UK Trade and Investment explaining how thousands of companies will receive export help and advice as Export Week (7 to 11 April 2014) gets underway. Export Week events will include a focus on mid-sized businesses and South East Asian markets.
Lord Livingston was very interested in exploring our facility here in Caerphilly, understanding our production capacity and was impressed when witnessing our product in action. Discussions were also held relating to Government Policy to increase UK exports where he expressed a keen interest in our future vision.
The former CEO of the BT Group said during the visit “The government wants to help double the UK’s exports by 2020 and there has never been a better time for Britain’s businesses to break into new international markets. This tour is geared towards visiting and understanding the needs of businesses like Hobbs Valve who can assist us in achieving that target.”
Afterwards Lord Livingston tweeted; “In South Wales today – pleased to visit Hobbs Valve A GREAT engineering company and a world leader in valve technology.”
