“Stronger together” – Hobbs Valve / BVAA deal features in Valve User Magazine

Hobbs Valve has successfully completed one of the biggest single orders in their 10 year history. The BVAA helped to broker a this major valve deal for a consortium of specialists including Hobbs Valve, Heap & Partners and PDL. 

The British Valve and Actuator Association – BVAA for short – accepts business leads directly from prospects, operating a marketplace-style service for its members. In this instance, Heap & Partners noticed a particularly large bidding opportunity that could have the costs reduced significantly by calling on the expertise of trusted fellow BVAA members. 

Hobbs Valve’s Group Sales Director, Gavin Wheeler, comments: “We were delighted to be approached by Andy from Heap & Partners, and our design team here at Hobbs Valve were well placed to help Heaps and the customer find a better, more cost-effective solution than their original scope. 

“Three years of hard work went into refining the package for the customer to meet their extensive requirements, including seismic testing, FEA and CFD.

“Using our extensive valve knowledge, a solution was offered that met all of their requirements at a quarter of the original cost.”
